Abstract
The article discusses the pericardium covered stent graft as first-line endovascular treatment for carotid-cavernous fistulas (CCF). It cites that there is a limited data regarding the efficacy of covered stents and the role of these devices in the management of CCF patients is not clearly defined. The article also cites a case of a 20-year-old male with a traumatic, high-flow CCF which was treated with a pericardium covered stent graft.
