Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to family law in Australia. The Australia Legislation Amendment Bill 2012 changed the name of the Federal Magistrates Court to Federal Circuit Court of Australia and the Federal Magistrates title to Judge. Federal attorney-general Nicola Roxon announced that 63 contact services for children received additional funding worth more than one million dollars on September 6, 2012. The court also released the revised version of Family Violence Best Principles.
