Abstract
The authors discuss the Green Certification programme for aquarium fishes in India. Topics discussed include promoting sustainable harvest of ornamental fishes under the Indian Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA); geographical indication (GI) tag for cardinal tetra; and listing of six threatened species such as Pethia pookodensis, Lepidopygopsis typus, and Ghatsa montana.
