Abstract
The article discusses research which investigated safety and effectiveness of neurovascular thrombectomy with the Solitaire stent retriever in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients. Topics explored include the screening of patients involved in the study, the recorded severity of disability after 90 days of treatment, and the safety outcomes recorded such as mortality and symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage.
