Abstract
The article presents an interview of New Orleans based musician Lou Hill who discusses the situation of the town during the Covid-19 pandemic and global anti racism protests. Topics include the impact of the public health crisis on his group Water Seed, and the presence and less domination of black musicians in the state due to racism.
