Abstract
A study published in the journal Leukemia & Lymphoma examined the use of PET/CT scans in assessing the response to treatment in patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). The study found that changes in maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) on PET/CT scans were not strong predictors of clinical outcomes in MCL patients. The authors recommend using the standard response assessment criteria based on the Deauville 5-point scale for evaluating treatment response in MCL patients. The study highlights the importance of caution when applying PET/CT parameters to different lymphoma subtypes. [Extracted from the article]
