Abstract
The article discusses the emergence of global bass parties in the U.S., creating spaces for intercontinental and cross-cultural exchange. Also referred to as tropical bass or global dance music, global bass includes sounds and styles from across the globe, such as cumbia, dancehall and kwaito. Global bass parties reportedly have the potential to bring different immigrant communities together.
