Abstract
The article reports on a case of idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis. Manifestations include moderate bilateral hydronephrosis, medial deviation of the ureters, and soft-tissue prominence around the mid-abdominal aorta. The underlying mechanism is inflammatory fibroblast proliferation with extracellular matrix deposition.
