Abstract
The article reports on the soybean production in Brazil. Soybean planted area forecast had decreased to 4 percent in the 2005 and 2006 market year. The yields have been greatly affected by the climate changes. Credit difficulties of growers and the strengthening of real also contributed to the decrease in total crop areas.
