Abstract
The article focuses on the factors that drive companies in the U.S. to outsource technical services. Almost two-thirds of the companies that outsource technical services has said that cost reduction is the main reason for the move. Considering cost reduction, it can be seen that more information technology executives are giving work to overseas service companies that employ lower-paid workers. Another significant factor driving outsourcing was access to operational expertise.
