Abstract
The article reports on the 2021 study by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and U.S. federal agencies on an outbreak of Salmonella Thompson infections due to seafood exposure, particularly sushi-grade tuna and salmon. The researchers used whole genome multilocus sequence typing (wgMLSt) for confirmatory testing of the Salmonella infection.
