Abstract
Most (81%) patients found it was as effective as 5-FU monotherapy in treating AK and, despite worse LSRs in almost half, most preferred it to 5-FU monotherapy. Generally, immunosuppressed patients have extensive areas of field change, requiring sequential treatment such that duration and thus tolerability of topical AK therapies are an important consideration for chemoprevention. Patient perspectives on treatment of actinic keratoses with 5-fluorouracil 5% cream monotherapy versus 5-fluorouracil plus calcipotriol combination therapy. [Extracted from the article]
