Y-sat can promote expression of both genes to develop aphid wings via RNA silencing in aphids. Nevertheless, the fact that we were able to postulate a mechanism for Y-sat to induce wing development in aphids suggests that there is a high probability that Y-sat-mediated wing induction of aphids would occur.
