Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 24-year-old Japanese man with adult-onset Kawasaki disease (KD). The patient suffered from recent-onset chest pain while he was at rest, cervical lymphadenopathy, and strawberry tongue. The article discusses adult-onset KD, which needs to be regarded as a differential diagnosis when the cases represent autoimmune disease or rheumatologic disorders in order to prevent steroid treatment-related adverse effects.
