Abstract
This article discusses the patient experience of surveillance following radical treatment for muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). The study aimed to assess the adherence of follow-up strategies to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommendations and to identify areas for improvement. The survey found that most patients received imaging and blood tests consistent with NICE recommendations, but there was a need for improved cancer nurse specialist (CNS) support, particularly in addressing sexual function and psychological well-being. The study also highlighted the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on treatment and surveillance practices. Further research is needed to determine the most effective follow-up strategy for MIBC patients. [Extracted from the article]
