Abstract
The article describes the synthesis of push-pull chromophores and an N-[4-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)butyl]carbazole moiety as a donor fragment. The different processes and the resulting compounds are detailed, which include subsequent alkylation of carbazole, acetylation, and Knoevenagel condensation. It is noted that the electrochemical properties of compounds synthesized were explored by cyclic voltammetry.
