Abstract
The article reports that a single-laboratory validation was conducted to determine the effectiveness of an immunoaffinity column (IAC) cleanup procedure followed by LC/MS/MS for the determination of chloramphenicol (CAP) in honey and prawns. CAP is removed from the IAC with neat methanol for both matrix extracts, followed by direct analysis using electrospray LC/MS/MS in the negative ionization mode. The authors say the method's accuracy was demonstrated by proficiency testing.
