Abstract
The article focuses on the role of nuclear receptors (NR) in treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). It states that NR pharmacological manipulation showed improving results in animal models. It mentions that farsenoid X receptor (FXR) which is also known as NR1H4 is a sensor of bile acids. It highlights that FXR helps in glucose metabolism.
