Abstract
The article discusses Treatment Options for type 2 Diabetes in Adolescents and Youth (TODAY) has a multicenter, randomized clinical trial designed to compare the effect of treatment regimens to maintain glycemic control in youth. Topics include the TODAY cohort providing a unique opportunity to examine the effects of insulin therapy in youth with type 2 diabetes; and to determine the factors associated with glycemic control initiation of insulin therapy in the TODAY participants.
