Abstract
The author discuss the increase in the number of cancer survivors who are able to resume work. Topics covered include improvements in cancer management and enhanced survival, the percentage of new cancer patients annually in Europe who are of working age, and the number of cancer survivors who are able to return to work within the first year after diagnosis. The importance of cancer care professionals' identification of early survivors in need of support is also mentioned.
