Abstract
Past interpersonal assaults occurred during the patient's teenage years and early to mid-20s, and subsequently the patient experienced intrusive thoughts, avoidance, negative cognitions, hyper-alertness, and associated symptoms of PTSD. A. PHQ9 - Patient Health Questionnaire 9, a patient-reported measure of depressive symptoms with scores ranging from 0 to 27, with scores <10 indicating clinically significant reduction in symptoms. Additionally, for this patient, we offered evidence-based treatments for bipolar depression and PTSD which the patient may not have encountered otherwise due to lack of availability of local specialty mental health services.
