Abstract
This article discusses the risk of bias in published randomized controlled trials (RCTs). RCTs are considered the gold standard for assessing the effectiveness of interventions, but methodological issues can compromise their validity. The Cochrane Collaboration developed the Risk of Bias version 2 (RoB 2.0) tool to assess bias risks in clinical trials. The authors of this study used the RoB 2.0 tool to assess the risk of bias in 27 RCTs published in the Indian Journal of Anaesthesia in 2022. They found that 13 RCTs had a low risk of bias, 6 had a high risk of bias, and 8 had some concerns regarding biases. The study highlights the importance of reducing bias in research and reporting all domains of the RoB tool. [Extracted from the article]
