Abstract
A new phenylalkanoid, 1-(4′-hydroxy-3′-methoxyphenyl)-5-methoxydecan-3-one (1) was isolated from the rhizomes of Chinese ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe (Zingiberaceae)). The structure of this new phenylalkanoid was elucidated by chemical and physical evidence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
