Abstract
Subfraction 1-4 (0.9 g) was further purified by another silica gel column using I n i -hexane-acetone (25:1) to obtain 11,13-dehydrolanuginolide ( B 10 b ) (8 mg). Part of Fr. 3 (4.2 g) was subjected to silica gel column chromatography by eluting with I n i -hexane-acetone (40:1), then enriched with acetone to furnish three subfractions (3-1-3-3). Subfraction 1-3 (0.6 g) was further purified by another silica gel column using I n i -hexane-acetone (25:1) to obtain parthenolide ( B 8 b ) (27 mg) and costunolide ( B 9 b ) (48 mg). Subfraction 1-2 (1.2 g) was further purified by another silica gel column using I n i -hexane-acetone (100:1) to obtain dihydroparthenolide ( B 6 b ) (7 mg) and dihydrocostunolide ( B 7 b ) (5 mg).
