Abstract
This article discusses a study that examined the long-term effects of a lung ultrasound-guided treatment strategy in dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The study found that the treatment strategy did not significantly reduce the risk of death, heart failure, or myocardial infarction in the overall study population. However, when analyzing the data by sex, the study found that the treatment strategy was associated with a reduced risk of the composite endpoint in men but not in women. The study suggests that further research is needed to understand why the treatment strategy may be less effective in women. [Extracted from the article]
