Abstract
The article presents answers to various questions of a quiz related to the increased renal echogenicity in a preterm neonate. A preterm female neonate presents with a history of perinatal asphyxia but without postnatal acute renal failure. Her blood pressure values were normal. Normal growth of the kidneys, the lack of renal cysts and the decreased diastolic blood flow exclude glomerulocystic kidney diseases or other forms of renal dysplasia. There were also no signs of hereditary syndromes which could be associated with diffuse cystic renal dysplasia.
