Abstract
The article reports on sentinel lymph node identification in patients with breast cancer. Topics include Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) is the standard of care in the management of early breast cancer patients with a clinically and radio logically negative axilla; SLNB significantly reduces the morbidity associated with axillary node dissection, including lymphedema and wound infection; and 1,2 Blue dye, radio colloid, or both can be used to identify the sentinel node.
