Abstract
The article discusses the developments in the human resources issues in the oil and gas (O&G) industry. It claims that the skill shortage in the industry should make companies to focus mainly on human capital management in the future to prevent serious problems. According to Texas-based University of Houston's Ali Daneshy, around 80% of professionals working in the industry by 2020 will have been hired as of 2012.
