Abstract
Polymeric complexes of [CuClL] copper(I) chloride ( 1) (L = N,N-bis(5-methylpyridin-2-yl)-oxalamide)) and {[Cu(CO)ClL](L)·2HO} copper(II) chloride ( 2) are obtained. The complexes are studied by powder and single crystal XRD. It is found that during the reaction of L with copper(II) chloride in the formation of complex 1 copper(II) is reduced to copper(I), while the formation of complex 2 is accompanied by the hydrolysis of the ligand.
