Abstract
The article focuses on work of Dmitri Mendeleev about his life and work as he sought to determine how the properties of chemical elements are related. It mentions he studied organic isomorphism where two different organic molecules have the same crystalline structure and developed important skills of classification and looking at the physical properties of compounds and linking them with structure. It also mentions issue of the organisation of the elements.
