Abstract
The article describes the concrete replacement project of Pike Industries Inc. at I-295 in Maine. The Department of Transportation recommended the closure of the 18-mile stretch of southbound I-295 during the peak season of the tourism industry. The project included concrete milling, slab removal, concrete rubblizing and in-slope rehabilitation. Using high-quality subcontractors and taking advantage of long summer days was the strategy of Pike for the said project.
