Abstract
The article presents a study that focuses on elementary music education. The researchers conclude that music educators considered music an academic subject rather than an activity for grade three students. It also found out that music teachers structured their grade three music classes and school boards considered music equally as an activity and an academic subject. Based on the questions in the research, music educators considered their music instruction and objectives most important in selecting their method of evaluation.
