Abstract
The article reports on the study of the live-cell direct stochastic optical reconstruction microscopy (dSTORM) of core histone H2B proteins in different eukaryotic cell lines using SNAP-tags fusion protein. The result shows that cell line-dependent differences in specificity and efficiency of labeling had introduced a very efficient method to minimize nonspecific adsorption of fluorophores. The study also demonstrates how radical anions enable precise control of the number of fluorophores.
