Abstract
Recent results of the WMAP (Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe), Planck, and BICEP2 (Background Imaging of Cosmic Extragalactic Polarization) spaceborne and earth-based missions have been widely discussed by the scientific community and point to the necessity of investigating new inflation models which differ from the established inflation model based on a unitary self-acting scalar field. The present work considers an inflation model based on the chiral cosmological model which takes into account different forms of the kinetic interaction of the phantom field and the canonical field. This study sets as its goal to determine the dynamics and interaction of fields during that short time interval at the early inflation stage when the interaction potential of the fields remains constant (as has been discussed within the framework of the model of 'new' inflation). A general algorithm to solve the dynamical equations in the chiral (scalar) fields is indicated and special cases are investigated in which it is possible to find solutions in terms of elementary functions. A graphical analysis of the obtained solutions makes it possible to determine special regimes of the evolution of fields that can be investigated as well-founded approximations used to calculate cosmological parameters and make comparisons with observational data.
