Abstract
The article looks at the role of the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in creating sustainable health policies through good governance. Topics mentioned include impact of the economic downturn on private, public, and health insurance resources, details on resolutions published by the World Health Organization on the use of HTA in educating decision-makers on effective health policies, and application of HTA at national, regional, and institutional levels.
