Abstract
The article describes the case of an 8-year-old boy with diagnosed autism, who was referred to the hospital due to profound normocytic anemia, without manifest bleeding. Topics covered include the medical history of the patient, the findings of physical and laboratory examinations that led to the diagnosis of scurvy, and patient outcome following vitamin C treatment.
