Abstract
The article offers information on the portable ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) technology which reduces ischemia time and improves graft condition. Topics include the risk of primary graft dysfunction (PGD) in lung transplantation, the portable EVLP TransMedics® Organ Care System™ (OCS), and a study on the use of OCS in extended-criteria donors.
