Abstract
The article focuses on pancreatic cancer, fourth leading cause of cancer death in the U.S., most recent of which are those of Apple's founder Steve Jobs and Nobel Prize winner Ralph Steinman. Topics discussed include an overview on the function of the pancreas and on pancreatic cancer, the use of shRNA library to evaluate potential therapeutic pathways, additional high-tech approaches which are SNP Chip Arrays and microarray expression analysis, and the histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors.
