Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the surgical complications and patient satisfaction following anterior thoracolumbar intervention in patients with adult spinal deformity. The study has found that many of the patients were dissatisfied with the anterior thoracolumbar approach considering the distinctive surgical complications. Among the 62 adult patients, 32.3% experienced postoperative pain, 43.5% suffered bulging of the scar region, and 24.2% endured functional disturbance.
