Abstract
The author reflects on the latest American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Guidelines on Handling Hazardous Drugs as of December 2018. Also cited are the evolution of the guidelines since the publication of U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) general information chapter 800, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health's (NIOSH) List of Antineoplastic and Other Hazardous Drugs in Health Care Settings, and the efforts by Luci Power to limit exposure of workers to hazardous drugs.
