This article discusses the benefits of a dermocosmetic regimen in managing the local side effects caused by a topical retinoid-based acne treatment. The study evaluated the effectiveness of a specific dermocosmetic regimen in reducing skin irritation caused by a combination of adapalene and benzoyl peroxide gel. The results showed that the dermocosmetic regimen significantly improved skin sensitivity symptoms, adherence to the acne treatment, and overall quality of life for the participants.
