Abstract
The article discusses the concept of immunogenic cell death (ICD) and its potential in enhancing the effectiveness of cancer treatments. It explains that certain cytotoxic agents have the ability to induce ICD, which renders cancer cells recognizable to the immune system. The article also highlights the role of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in combination with ICD inducers in mediating therapeutic potential. Additionally, it explores the mechanisms of ICD and its implications in anticancer immunity. The article concludes by discussing the use of ICD in drug discovery and clinical trials for anticancer therapies. [Extracted from the article]
