Abstract
The article discusses clinical studies concerning early treatment of advanced prostate cancer. Veterans' studies proved that the early treatment of advanced prostate cancer have a survival advantage. In the study, advanced prostate cancer patients were randomized to place or hormonal therapy. It has found out that survival was similar in both groups, however, for patients treated with diethylstilboestrol, mortality rates from oestrogenic toxicity affected overall survival.
