Abstract
The article discusses the Western Michigan University's (WMU) study to determine whether 77 responding libraries plan to upgrade their integrated library system (ILS) which showed that 57% do not plan to, 23% are planning and 5% have shifted to a cloud-based system. The cloud-based system, dubbed as the future of library management structure, claims to enable libraries to do tasks in a more efficient way. It also discusses WMU's five-year ILS replacement process which began in November 2012. INSET: Are YOU Ready to Go?.
