Abstract
The article offers a meditation on the biblical text Mark 10:2-16. Topics include the teaching of religious figure Jesus Christ about divorce, the relation of the teaching of Jesus about marriage to the rights of women and children, and the notion of the love of God in relation to the church as a social institution. The concept of kyriarchy as a way of describing domination and oppression is addressed.
