Abstract
The Journal of Museum Education (JME) is celebrating its 50th anniversary and this issue focuses on the ways museum educators share knowledge, evolve, and support themselves and others. The journal explores the gaps in sharing knowledge and the persistence of invisibilizing museum educators' labor and the theoretical underpinnings of museum education practice. It emphasizes the importance of relationships in museum education and how educators learn through relationships, build relationships, and foster intergenerational collaboration. The articles in this issue discuss topics such as relational asymmetry, early lessons from the 1970s, building community, and multidirectional learning. The journal invites readers to consider the importance of interpersonal exchanges of knowledge and how relationships shape the future of museum education. [Extracted from the article]
