Abstract
The article explores various literature to determine the identification and mechanism of action of various pro- and anti-HIV-1 host restriction factors. These factors strongly counter HIV-1 replication within the cell and demonstrate the complex dynamics in the fight between the host cell and HIV-1. The ingenuity of HIV-1 in hijacking host cellular factors to help in its propagation is demonstrated.
