Abstract
The article highlights that Environmentally benign agricultural production systems are required to meet the future global food demands and minimize the effect on climate change whereas g the green revolution of the 1960s and 1970s, the global problem with food shortfalls was solved by conventional and variation breeding of high-yielding varieties suitable for intensified crop farming practice.
