Abstract
This article discusses the influence of biological treatments on peripheral blood dendritic cells (DC) in patients with severe psoriasis. The study found that patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) had lower frequencies of certain DC subsets compared to healthy donors, which were normalized following treatment. Patients with psoriasis vulgaris (PsO) only displayed lower frequencies of one DC subset, which were also normalized following treatment. The study suggests that these DC subsets could potentially serve as biomarkers for clinical response to treatment. Further research is needed to better understand the role of DCs in psoriasis and to develop predictive tools for treatment response. [Extracted from the article]
