Abstract
The article presents the discussion on origins of the differences between Rothbard and Mises as a way for illuminating the split within the American libertarian movement. Topics include neoliberalism significantly influencing the shift toward deregulation, privatization, and marketization since the 1980s; and contributing to the literature on the transatlantic transfer of ideas in the interwar and immediate postwar periods.
